Sketching out where the smokehouse and second kiln go before the ground freezes solid. Recording the first tutorial video this week too, turns out explaining something clearly on camera takes a lot longer than just doing it yourself.
Pit's been smoldering for two full days and finally cracked it open this morning. Yield was lower than expected, but enough to get the forge running for the next stretch.
Started the channel the same way I started the world with nothing but a stone axe and a bad plan. Picked a spot near water with decent tree cover and started clearing ground for the first pit.
